    Custom colors for color-blind people

    Craig Monroe · 0 · Posted

    Hello,

I love your product, but when opening the dashboard it is very difficult to see the short history represented by Red and Green boxes. It would be extremely helpful if the colors could be modified in the dashboard so we could use something custom, for example a blue/red combo (like jenkins) to be able to see clearly.

    Thanks for your consideration,

    Craig

Get rid of all those useless window animations

Sorin Sbârnea · 1 · Last reply by Sorin Sbârnea

How about getting rid of all those confusing window animations of CatLight? My head hurts every time I click the cute cat icon.

I don't know if this anti-feature is available on all platforms but on MacOS its insane, I just made me remove the app.

I am back to CCMenu which behaves predictably by opening a window under the icon.

Add tool tips on light bank.

David Boss · 1 · Last reply by catlight

Add tool tips on light bank so when you hover over each light it tells you the build info. could include name of contributor that caused the build, build label, name or number and time.

The menu on OS X don't follow Apple's Human Interface Guidelines

    Asbjørn Ulsberg · 0 · Posted

In the OS X app, the menu items look like this:

    • Catlight
      • Open Dashboard
      • Exit
    • Edit
      • Add Connection to TFS or VSTS
      • Add Connection to AppVeyor
      • Add Connection to Jenkins
      • Add Connection to Travis CI
      • Settings
      • Cut
      • Copy
      • Paste
      • Select All
      • Start Dictation
      • Emoji & Symbols
    • Help and Feedback
      • View Help
      • Provide a Suggestion
      • Report a Problem
      • About

This is not according to Apple's Human Interface Guidelines. Instead, I suggest the menus should look more like this:

    • Catlight
      • About Catlight
      • Preferences...
      • Add Connection...
      • Quit Catlight
    • Help
      • View Help
      • Provide a Suggestion
      • Report a Problem

This is more in line with

    Integration with BuildKite

Nathaniel Blackburn · 1 · Last reply by catlight

BuildKite is a popular CI service which i feel would benefit from integration with your application.

    Website: http://buildkite.com

Support for CCTray is available so integration should be a cinch.

Cancelled Builds from Azure DevOps show up as failed

    Hello,

I have been looking at using CatLight in our organisation and you guys have a fantastic tool!

I have one rather significant issue however. Cancelled builds seem to show up as failed. This makes my catlight red most of the time as we tend to let our pull request builds cancel mid way through as we dont have them as a required pass to complete the PR.

I have read 4 years ago a post from you guys that this is related to the fact that TFS cancels after a timeout. I believe it now errors at timeout if

    Save out a report

    Rich Day · 0 · Posted

It would be great if Catlight could save a report on build / pipeline status in CSV for further analysis. Including information such as name, status, how long ago, who broke it, if it's being investigated for example.

A further formatted report in HTML/PDF/DOC format would also be useful.

    Have a grid layout

    Scott · 0 · Posted

I just counted that I'm monitoring 18 builds/releases. Sometimes I also monitor some bug triage queues too.

I've got a decent size monitor, but I can't fit this all on my screen, and it's difficult to find the build I'm interested in. It would be nice if we could have a grid view so that the names of the builds/releases could all be in one column. Currently this information is interspersed with other text about when the build last ran and who triggered it. That makes it tricky to scan when I'm looking for a build. Ideally the info about

How to flag the specific user that broke the build

Martin · 3 · Last reply by catlight

    Hi,

I'm just trying catlight with jenkins p4 plugin. Seems lightweight and very easy to get going.

As things stand I can see "somebody broke the build a few secs ago".

Is there a way to configure to attach a real userid?

    Thanks!

    Make currently building more visible

    Howard Richards · 0 · Posted

When a build is running it changes the tick to a green arrow - this nice but does not stand out visually compared to the green tick.

Perhaps change the background colour of a running build to green or blue perhaps?

    Add and remove projects automatically

Marc Ende · 1 · Last reply by catlight

It would be great if projects are added and removed automatically.

I've got some jobs in jenkins which are created and deleted automatically (for pull-requests). It would be great if they can be shown in catlight automatically.

Regarding automatic jobs as mentioned above:

    • There should be some kind of regex to decide which are shown automatically (like the jobs in the listview in jenkins)
    • The automatic addition should be turned off/on manually.

    TFS 15 preview support

Jesse Houwing · 1 · Last reply by catlight

TFS 15 Preview has just been released and catlight is unable to authenticate against it. I suppose this is due to changes in the REST API, now accepting Bearer tokens as well as NTLM authentication.
