We are pretty close to completion. ETA - next week.

Microsoft's Release Management team is going to publish RM API in the next 3 weeks, so we might start working on desktop notifications after that.

Any update on this?

We have made some framework changes that will help us build this feature, the but haven't started working on release status tracking yet.
